Established in New York City in 2024, Nymzo was born from a desire to make chess products and accessories designed with contemporary standards in mind. We set out to create sets built on chess culture and tradition, with an evolved approach that better matches the look and feel of the chess community today.
We couldn’t find an every day chess set we liked.
Hand-crafted wooden chess sets can be quite beautiful, but they are often expensive, traditional, and rather stodgy. Standard plastic club sets are inexpensive and functional, but poorly designed, with cheap felt and lumpy piece design. Practical? Yes. Stylish? Not so much.
We apply contemporary design principals to create aesthetically pleasing and functional chess gear and accessories that make your playing experience a little more stylish and fun.
